Danny worked for 17 years at Intel Corporation, where he spent most of his time as the Education Manager for Europe. There, he oversaw the creation, adaptation and localisation of teacher training programmes under the ‘Intel Teach’ umbrella; he also worked closely with ministries of education and other agencies to promote changes in school policies and curricula. In collaboration with universities, he promoted research into usage models of new technologies in the classroom.
Having gained an initial experience as a language teacher, he completed an MA in Mass Communication Research at the University of Leicester. He holds a BA in Literature, Philology and Journalism from the University of Fribourg (Switzerland), and a Postgraduate Diploma from the Chartered Institute of Marketing. A fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, and a member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists, Danny is also an examiner for the International Baccalaureate. He is currently working with various European institutions on projects funded through the European Union’s Horizon 2020 and Erasmus+ programmes. He is a Co-Assessor for Papilio, a leading Swiss agency specialising on professional assessment and development, and Chief Strategy Officer for the Polish company BeCreo Technologies, who specialises on game-based and interactive approaches in education.
